Associate Professor Pratumvinit obtained board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Clinical Pathology. She undertook her research fellowship training at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Currently, Dr Busadee serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Professor David Thomas is currently the inaugural Director of the Centre for Molecular Oncology at the University of New South Wales and is the Head of the Genomic Cancer Medicine Laboratory at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Professor Thomas focuses on applying genomic technologies to understand and manage cancer, particularly sarcoma. He founded the Australasian Sarcoma Study Group and established Australia’s leading adolescent and young adult cancer unit at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. On an international level, he leads the International Sarcoma Kindred Study, the largest-ever genetic study in sarcoma, spanning 23 centres across multiple countries. His work has influenced clinical guidelines and approvals, including denosumab for Giant Cell Tumour of bone. Professor Thomas has authored over 200 research publications, including papers in prestigious journals such as Science, Cancer Cell, and JAMA Oncology. In 2018, he served as President of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society, a global authority in his field.

He has presided over three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as projects funded by the Chongqing Natural Science Foundation and key projects of the Chongqing Health Commission. Mdm Elsie Kok joined Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific in 2014 as an Application Manager for Pathology lab portfolio. This included supporting customers with troubleshooting, implementation and providing internal training on all the analysers and assays (core and high medical value) across the wide portfolio. During her tenure in the APAC organisation, she collaborated with various cross-functional teams both regionally and locally, participating in multiple projects and initiatives such as new instrument launches, the formation of an application community, pre-analytical webinars, and the Lab Insights Pathology Survey.
In 2022, Elsie took on the expanded role of leading an application team and 2 more business areas of Core Lab and Molecular Lab on top of Pathology Lab. Elsie develops and implements Customer Engagement & Management guidelines and devise strategies to deliver high-quality application support to enhance customer satisfaction. Mr Jeffrey Chin joined Roche Diagnostics Malaysia in 1999 and came to Shanghai, China, in 2007, officially joining Roche Diagnostics China as the Director of the Professional Diagnostics Division. In 2011, he returned to Roche Diagnostics Malaysia, where he served as the General Manager, leading the market development in Malaysia. Back to China in 2012, Jeffrey held key leadership roles at SCIEX and Luminex, where he gained extensive experience in sales and marketing management. In 2015, he rejoined Roche Diagnostics China as the Vice President of the CPS&MD business area. Kayla's journey as a cancer survivor began in September 2020 when she was diagnosed with an extremely rare case of stage IV medulloblastoma located near her ovaries. Under the expert care of Dr Ang LeLe from Icon Cancer Center, Kayla underwent an intensive treatment regimen including surgeries, chemotherapy, stem cell treatments, and radiation therapy. Since completing her last treatment in June 2021, Kayla has been cancer-free. She continues to follow a maintenance protocol with half-yearly checkups, medical scans, and blood tests. Today, Kayla has successfully reintegrated into normal life, attending secondary school full-time with the support of her family and peers. Her experience has fueled her passion for art and strengthened her resolve to pursue a career as an artist. Through her artwork, Kayla aims to spread love and inspire others facing similar challenges. She hopes to encourage trust in modern medicine and healthcare systems while motivating others to persevere in their dreams, emerging stronger from their ordeals.

Lance Little became the Head of Region, Asia Pacific for Roche Diagnostics in 2012. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Roche Diagnostics India, where he was also the head of the wider Indian sub-region, which includes the neighbouring markets of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Lance joined Roche in New Zealand in 1995 in the technical support and management division of Boehringer Mannheim’s Clinical Chemistry portfolio, before moving on to sales and marketing roles until 2008. He was then appointed Managing Director of Roche Diagnostics Thailand and returned a year later to New Zealand to take up the role of Managing Director in 2009.
Lance began his career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, specialising in Biochemistry at the Auckland Hospital Laboratory in New Zealand. Following that, he spent some time managing the Automation Laboratory at Diagnostic Laboratories in Auckland.
Lance graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a degree in Medical Laboratory Science with specialisation in Clinical Biochemistry. He currently sits on the Board of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed).

Mr Mah Sam Yew joined Roche Diagnostics Malaysia in 2003 as an Application Specialist within the Lab Integration team with the focus on laboratory IT and automation solutions. In the five years with the Malaysian organisation, Sam held multiple positions with increasing responsibility in marketing, product and project management of Lab IT & Workflow Solutions including pre-sales engagement, installation, training and technical support.
Sam joined the Asia Pacific regional team in 2008 to support the launch and rollout of the cobas IT 3000/5000 and was instrumental in the formulation of the Lab Consultant team in APAC. In his current role as the Application & Consulting Lead, he leads a team of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt & Green Belt certified lab consultants, responsible for supporting Laboratory Integration projects through workflow consultation, analysis, solution design and visualisation; a team of consultants responsible for driving thought leadership via LabInsights.com, Leadership Summit and Roche Experience Days–RED; and a team of certified application consultants, responsible for providing application training and technical support on instrumentations to Roche affiliates and laboratory customers.

Associate Professor Masamitsu Maekawa is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Tohoku University Hospital, specialising in Clinical and Analytical Chemistry. He earned his BSc, MSc, and PhD from Tohoku University. Beginning his career as a pharmacist in 2009, he later became a Research Assistant and then an Assistant Professor before assuming his current role in 2019. Associate Professor Maekawa has authored more than 80 original papers and 12 review papers. His contributions have earned him 15 awards, including the Encouragement Award from the Japanese Society of Clinical Chemistry (2017) and several accolades in 2023 and 2024 for his outstanding reviews and highly cited works in clinical mass spectrometry. Notably, he received the Metabolites 2023 Outstanding Reviewer Award and the Most Downloaded Article award in 2022. His extensive research and numerous awards underscore his significant impact in pharmaceutical sciences.

Previously, as the Global Diagnostics Partnering Lead at Roche, he directed due diligence teams for major acquisitions and identified strategic partnership opportunities to expand product offerings.
Michael has held significant roles, including Chief Technology Officer at Hutman Diagnostics, and has worked at Biocartis and Axis-Shield Diagnostics. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. from the Wellcome Trust Centre for Life Sciences at the University of Dundee and a prestigious Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at ETH Zurich.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Michael leads an active lifestyle, enjoying climbing, skiing, and biking. He also relishes cooking and cherishing quality time with his family.

Clinical Professor Ng Kee Chong became CEO of Changi General Hospital on 1 February 2024 and serves as Deputy Group Chairman Medical Board (Disease Outbreak and Preparedness) at SingHealth. A pioneer in paediatric emergency medicine, he led the KKH Medical Board for six years. As CMB at KKH, he provided medical leadership and policy oversight for clinical strategy, governance, services, quality, and infrastructure. He established the Hospital Quality and Safety Standards Committee and ensured compliance with clinical statutory requirements. He directed KKH’s Medical Innovation & Care Transformation unit from 2014 to 2017 and co-led KKH’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including transforming the Children’s Emergency and contributing to national efforts. Clinical Professor Ng is Vice President of the Singapore Resuscitation & First Aid Council and a member of the MOH Mass Casualty Committee. Before joining Roche Diagnostics, Mr Richard Yiu worked at Boehringer Mannheim and Cochlear respectively and accumulated rich experience in sales and management. In 2002, he officially joined Roche Diagnostics in the position of Regional Director, North China, Roche Diagnostics China, and then Head of Professional Diagnostics, Roche Diagnostics China.In 2008, Mr Richard Yiu was promoted to Head of Tissue Diagnostics, Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific, and was responsible for building the structure of commercial operations and customer support for affiliates in the region and establishing effective distribution channels in affiliates.
In 2011, Mr Richard Yiu was appointed as Head of Professional and Tissue Diagnostics, Roche Diagnostics China, and in 2015 became General Manager of Roche Diagnostics Korea, where he sat on the board of directors of the Korea Medical Device Industry Association.
Mr Richard Yiu graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1992 and is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. In 2010, Mr Richard Yiu received an EMBA degree at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

Dr Morice chaired the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic from 2015 to 2022 and is a Mayo Clinic consultant in the Division of Hematopathology. He holds the academic rank of professor and is an expert in diagnostic hematopathology, flow cytometry, and T and NK cell biology.
